| Brief History of Conway Noon Lions Club
Conway Noon Lions Club was sponsored by the North Little Rock Lions Club and was chartered on August 3, 1946 with 44 members. Dr. Stephen S. Barlow was the Charter President. Through the years the club has been dedicated to helping the blind and visually impaired. The club has supported Lions World Services for the Blind, Mid-South Sight and Hearing Center, Lions Diabetes Center, Leader Dog, Lions Clubs International Foundation, Conway Boys & Girls Club, Toad Suck Daze and Faulkner County Fair.
Conway Noon Lions Foundation, Inc.
The Foundation was formed in 1998 as a Non Profit Organization. This will enable our club to take advantage of the provisions of 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code. We will be able to approach large corporations for grants that are deductible to them and will make it possible for us to help more disabled and sight impaired people. |
